My story

Welcome to NZ Music Posters, my name is Floss, ex flying Nun band "Loves Ugly Children" I have been collecting posters from the early 1990's, I was the one who stole posters off walls after gigs, dumpster dived in "Flying Nuns" rubbish bins, worked with promoters and grabbed all and any left over posters, I operated "The Killing Room" and The Playground" Rehearsal Studios. Worked at the King Arms Tavern, LUNA and many other venues and always grabbed the poster left on the door. Some posters given to me by promoters when they just had enough of holding onto them.

This collection has been in storage for many years, many decades, some as perfect as the day they were printed, some off walls so have the odd pin hole.. a few beaten to death but none are less than the original thing!

Every original gig posters is much more than just a posters! They all tell a story. This is the true history of NZ Venues, NZ Musicians, NZ Promoters, The Crew, the Sound People and every Punter who was at the show! It is the history of so many NZ Bands from Flying Nun to all the small bands that made the noise we grew up to, or are just rediscovering!!

Many are just one offs... the Flying Nun collection is mostly as good as the day they were printed off (this was the dumpster dive when Flying Nun merged with Festival/Mushroom Records and just ran out of storage space)

Get the real thing handed down directly from the band, the record company, the promoter, the venue or from me!
